At the age of 18, he started working for Dowd's Moving and Storage in Mill Valley. He also worked for Larkspur United and Graf Van Lines until 1990 after which he decided to open his own business, Rocky's Moving, with the help of his wife. Rocky's Moving Company has been a very successful company in large part because it is not a corporate company and thus it is able to provide personalized and affordable services to its customers.
